Case study
From signage to voice: a brand you spot from a block away
Bar VerdinhoBrand identity5 min
Bar Verdinho launched with live music and a neighborhood-bar feel — but needed visual identity that worked on signage, Instagram, and word of mouth. "O Verdinho" had to be recognizable before anyone read the menu.
Live forró and pagode bars compete with noise: generic signs, pattern-less posts, promos that change tone every week. Hikari Hub came in to build brand foundations — not just "a nice logo."
The process started with immersion: what the place means in the customer's week, how regulars talk about the bar, what sets it apart from a generic pub. From there, visual direction: deep green as house color, red for energy and signage, cream and gold for bulb glow and bar-type typography — a palette that works on physical signage, stories, and menus.
We delivered a wordmark and brand system (logo, palette, voice), social post templates, and a quick usage guide: how to write beer promos, how to announce live forró, what to avoid so it doesn't become "another Instagrammable bar."
Voice anchored on one line: "The spot where the week ends and forró begins." Personality chips — welcoming, ice-cold beer, forró & pagode — became filters for all copy and art.
We didn't measure revenue on this case (scope was identity), but success criteria was recognition: someone walking by or seeing a story and immediately associating it with Verdinho. Consistency across signage, feed, and language was designed for that.
